CLX 08 was such a fantastic success we have set the dates for next year already - CLX 09 will be on 16th to 18th October 2009.

We had a sell-out year this year, with 100 people joining us for the whole weekend, over 120 people at the Saturday night dance and more cake than you can shake a stick at.  The committee are incredibly grateful to all of the lovely people who came from so many different places and made it so much fun.  We could also not have done it without all the brilliant volunteers, hosts and bands, so a huge thank you to all of you.

Any feedback about the weekend (good or bad!) would be greatly appreciated to help us plan for next year’s event.  Please send your comments to info @cambridgelindyexchange.co.uk.

Bookings are now closed - CLX 08 is sold out!  If you want to be placed on a waiting list in case there are any cancellations, please email Gemma: gemma @cambridgelindy.com.

You can still come along to the Saturday or Sunday dances.  The Saturday evening dance is £15 non-members / £13 members and the Sunday tea dance is £12 non-members / £10 members.  There will be live music at both events and you can buy your tickets on the door.  Unfortunately we don’t expect to be selling individual tickets for the Friday evening dance due to space limitations.  See the events page for details.

We’re sad to say we’ve had to close bookings for single follows.  If you are a follow and you book without a lead you will be placed on a waiting list.  Follows can still secure a place if they book with a lead - to do this, both participants should put the name of the person they’re booking with in the “general comments” section on their booking forms, or just email Gemma with both of your details: gemma @cambridgelindy.com.

We now have less than 20 full-weekend tickets left for CLX 2008, so get booking!  Full payment is due by 3 October in order to guarantee your place.

This week is also your last chance to order the formal college dinner or a CLX t-shirt - orders for both need to be placed (and paid for!) by Friday 3 October.  You will get the option to order these on the booking form.  If you have already booked and would like to add a meal or t-shirt, email Gemma: gemma @cambridgelindy.com

We are pleased to announce that registrations for CLX 08 are now open.  Please visit the registration page to book your place.  We aim to keep the exchange small and friendly, so there will be a limited number of weekend tickets available - book early to avoid disappointment!

There will be on-the-door tickets available for the Saturday and Sunday dances.  Prices for these will be announced closer to the time, but you can be sure that the full weekend ticket will offer the best value.

Following the outstanding success of the first ever Cambridge Lindy Exchange, the committee has decided to announce that CLX 2008 will be held on the weekend of October 17-19, 2008. Watch this space for further information!
